The Windsbuhl is already quite expressive, but remains delicate and well structured, which is the signature of its limestone origin. The palate is long, unctuous, no broad but persisting.

The nose shows with no detour the minerality of the Goldert soil. This is the really first gewurztraminer in the 2007 line up that is now dominated by more spicy, leathery aromas and where the varietal character is not obviously up front

The nose is expressive and reveals a smoky (tobacco) and spicy (pepper, oregano) aromatic palette, with all the complexity and restraint that limestone geology can bring.

This Hengst tastes soft and unctuous at the beginning, coating the palate with a velvety texture, until, it really unrolls its powerful huge intensity. Numbers made this wine qualify as sweet, but it really tastes barely off-dry

This Gewurztraminer Rangen gives off an unusual aromatic intensity for this grape variety, with a strong influence of the terroir (flint, smoked) but also aromas of green tea, spices, herbal infusion (ginger)…

Imposing nose with powerful volcanic influence, but also restraint and not yet fully open. Aeration will reveal more smoky/peaty aromas. The Gewurztraminer is completely transformed by this extraordinary vineyard.

Dense, viscous, immense inner tension, high proportionate acidity. Great aromatic complexity, elegant structure, good ageing potential, substance and special longevity due to ageing on the lees.

Though closer to dry, the natural sweetness of the grape gives body to the wine, producing a juicy impression mid-palate and a long-lasting finish.

The stimulating aroma of the Gewürztraminer is reminiscent of lychee and mango with delicate notes of honeysuckle. The aromatic spectrum also includes notes of rose petal, which are typical of this variety.. The unique quality of the aromatic character of the wine is continued on the palate, with fresh fruit and lively acidity combining with mineral notes to leave a very round and at the same time firm impression.
